Washington State Supreme Court Justice 1999-2005
Justice of Washington's court of last resort, hearing criminal and civil matters including appeals as a matter of right and matters of discretionary review. Served as Chair of the Supreme Court's Judicial Education Committee; Pres. of the Washington Chapter of the American Judicature Society (2002-2004); Executive Committee of the Council on Public Legal Education. Appointed by Governor John Spellman in Aug. 1983 and elected in Sept.1983. General Jurisdiction judge hearing criminal and civil matters of unlimited jurisdiction.
